Dance Animal is a musical theatre production that will make you get up and dance. It won the Just For Laughs "Best of Montreal" comedy prize last year and continues to win positive reviews. This electrifying cast of 9 dancers is led by creator & choreographer Robin Henderson (leading the pack in the above picture). Robin is known to the theatre world thanks to past contributions notably with the Black Theatre Workshop for Swan Song of Maria (Nov. '09).
Each member of the troupe has his/her own uniquely designated and colourful nickname (e.g., Dance Salmon, Dance Wolf, Dance Banana, etc) with a unique dance style and personality to match.
Dance Animal knows no musical boundaries wooing the audience with pop, breakdance and modern jazz moves to the sounds of classics (Boney M, Jacques Brel, Reel to Real) and contemporary hip/pop, (Pitbull, Coldplay, Michael Buble, Madonna). An absolute must see!
