Hi there and welcome to my theater corner. Theatre take any form: from dance, drama, improv, cabaret, musical, to contemporary circus, ventriloquism, and puppeteering. As a drama aficionado, I believe that the magic of art performers resides in their ability to convey dream, feeling and thought. This belief is the root of my search of professional and independent theatre gems in bilingual Montreal.

Suburban Motel

A 6-play series written by George F. Walker. All plays take place in the same dingy hotel. This review is on Featuring Loretta and The End of Civilization.

I'd like to highlight the amazing performance of Warona Setshwaelo as Loretta and Liz Burns as the russian KGB "heiress". Poor pregnant Loretta is short for cash. What does a sexy pregnant woman do? She has two choices. The first is to go along with plan of modeling in Japan, OR star in a sex-tape.

* I had a candid conversation with Davyn Ryall, the Director of Suddenly Last Summer, a one-act play written by Tennessee Williams in 1958 is staged for the first time in English at the McGill Players' Theatre (Sep 28 - Oct 4 2009).

* Last November, I had the unique opportunity to interview Tyrone Benskin, the Artistic Director of the Black Theatre Workshop. We discussed the themes behind his latest project called Swan Song of Maria playing at the MAI from Nov 3 to Nov 9, 2009.
