This is a brilliantly written, directed and performed one man show by Paul Van Dyck. Adapted from the poem of the same title written by the 17th century poet John Milton, the play centers around three main characters: Adam, Eve, and the Fallen Angel Satan.
The story line is very simple: story of the Fall of Man, the temptation of Adam and Eve by the fallen angel Satan and their expulsion from the Garden of Eden.
Adam and Eve are wood-based puppets created by Lyne Paquette, and brought to life on stage by Paul. When he is not playing with puppets, Paul takes on the role of the Fallen Angel. Computer animation is used as well to represent “spirits”. A must see.
July 14-19 at Theatre Sainte Catherine.
